Are you an experienced, meticulous and quality-conscious pattern designer with an understanding of and respect for craftsmanship? If you’re interested in being responsible for the process from sketch to finished product, this is an exciting opportunity for you.

We are looking for a new colleague to join SELECTED FEMME focusing on the woven and jersey categories.

YOUR TEAM

You will become part of a strong and passionate design and buying department, where you will gain insights into everyday life in an international fashion company. On a daily basis, you’ll act as a sparring partner for our designers, buyers and, importantly, our overseas suppliers, communicating SELECTED FEMME’s overall requirements for fit and sizing.

YOUR JOB

Your main responsibility is to make decisions regarding cut, fit, and measurements. By leveraging your product understanding and experience as a pattern designer, you will develop size charts and gradations, as well as collaborate with SELECTED FEMME’s buyers and designers to comment on fit and design. You will also work with our suppliers, inspiring them and ensuring they are continuously motivated to follow our guidelines and requirements.

Your specific tasks include:

  • Developing size charts, gradations and basic patterns.
  • Commenting on fit and design in collaboration with buyers and designers.
  • Maintaining close and efficient cooperation with our international suppliers.
  • Ensuring understanding of correct fitting and measurements, including training colleagues and suppliers.

YOUR BENEFITS

  • We believe that a good work-life balance is key to well-being, which is why flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home is an integral part of our culture.
  • You will be given plenty of responsibility and opportunities to grow with regular sparring from experienced colleagues.
  • You will be part of a culture where we have a firm belief that if we collaborate and help each other, anything is possible.

YOUR PROFILE

You are naturally optimistic and outgoing, and you thrive in a creative environment. Your diverse responsibilities demand strong organisational and communication skills, particularly the ability to clearly and convincingly convey messages across cultures and borders. You have excellent collaboration skills as you work closely with buyers, designers and suppliers. It comes naturally to you to consistently deliver high-quality work while meeting deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education within pattern design
  • Experience working with both woven and jersey categories is preferred
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Experience using Gerber
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator is a benefit, but not a requirement.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU
