The Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Technical Design to join our team in Copenhagen. You will play a crucial role as the bridge between our design team and our workshop, ensuring that every technical drawing and production file we deliver is precise, manufacturable, and optimized for production.
This position requires a deep understanding of CAD modeling, (currently we use Fusion 360), production techniques, and materials — especially solid wood and metal. You will be responsible for quality assurance of technical design and production drawings, production optimization, and continuous improvement of our technical and design processes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the technical design process from concept to production-ready drawings.
- Double-check and quality-assure all technical drawings before they reach our workshop.
- Act as the main link between the design team and production, ensuring clear and efficient communication.
- Work with the design team on new product development and continuous product improvement.
- Optimize production processes and workflows in close collaboration with the workshop and design teams.
- Contribute to improving how we use our software platforms (Fusion 360, InDesign, Excel, etc.) for design and documentation.
- Maintain and develop our technical documentation, templates, and internal standards.
Your Profile
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in technical design, production engineering, or a related field.
- Education such as Technical Designer, Production Technologist, or Production Engineer (or equivalent).
- Strong experience with 3D modelling. Experience with Fusion 360 is an advantage, but not essential.
- Experience with InDesign is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of CNC machining, production methods, and tolerances.
- Knowledge of wood production and metal component integration.
- Skilled in Excel and comfortable working with data and documentation.
- Methodical, structured, and detail-oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communicator — in both Danish and English.
- Proactive mindset with a natural drive to improve systems, workflows, and product quality.
