What we offer

Your key role in digital practice as a developer is making digital innovation and transformation a core strategy to the firm. Working with the team you will translate studio problems into digital solutions elevating the design experience and the artifacts produced to the highest quality by leveraging technology. As a Digital practice developer, you inject efficiency into the design and delivery process, discover opportunities to solve challenges with a user-oriented approach and applied research.

In our R&D group, you will be working closely with our team of designers as well as the innovation, business development and sustainability departments on:

  • Extending the capacity of our suite of design applications (Rhino/Revit) with novel analysis methods via plugins or add-ins.
  • Prototype and develop applications to augment and/or streamline the design process.
  • Maintaining and further developing our suite of workflows and applications.
  • Working closely with our strategy and innovation leadership partners.


What we are looking for

  • You have a master’s or Ph.D. degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant education.
  • Advanced experience with Rhino/Grasshopper, Revit/Dynamo development.
  • Experience developing plugins/add-ins for Rhino and/or Revit (C#/Python).
  • Knowledge of BIM good practices and data exchange technologies (Rhino.Inside.Revit, Speckle, Conveyor).
  • Understanding of Git, linting and code styling good practices.
  • A strong interest in learning new processes, keeping up to date with the latest research and technologies across the industry, as well as testing and implementing them.
  • Have fluent English professional proficiency

Bonus Skills

  • Basic knowledge of web development concepts and tools (Node.js, Vue.js, TypeScript, Three.js, PostgreSQL/MongoDB, GraphQL, REST API’s).
  • Experience cloud computing providers (Amazon Web Services, GCP or Azure).
  • A good sense of graphic design and user interface development using the Adobe Suite and Figma.

Working at SHL, we’re part of a competitive yet social and fun Scandinavian architectural practice. Also, we are part of the Perkins&Will group and work closely together with the Perkins&Will I/O innovation team on developing tech that gets deployed to +20 architectural studios around the globe
